Arts for Health and Well-being

I had a great day at the Good Health Wales 2017 Arts for Health and Wellbeing Symposium.  The event, organised by Swansea College of Art, UWTSD and Hywel Dda University Health Board, provided a platform for presentations by designers, artists, art therapists and health practitioners.  We were introduced to some fantastic collaborative projects involving artists working closely with health boards, practitioners and patients.

The highlight for me was the performance by the wonderful Tenovus Cancer Care Choir, their enthusiasm and joy brought welcome inspiration.

'Modern Masters'

I am delighted to be exhibiting work at the 'Modern Masters' exhibition at Galerie Handwerk, Munich. 8 - 14 March 2017.   

"The Chamber of Crafts of Munich and Upper Bavaria is organising the special exhibition 'Modern Masters' on behalf of the Association for the Advancement in Crafts (Verein zur Förderung des Handwerks) for the International Trade Fair in Munich. 'Modern Masters' is a special crafts and applied arts presentation; showing works by artists who stand for the aesthetics of our time.

Mastership can have many origins: the superior use of the material, functional finesse, technical precision, the elegance of form and colour, humour and classic understatement. We would like to demonstrate this over 30 well-known artists from different countries and different sections of the arts and crafts."
